Pianists Sophie Kerman and Franco Holder, together with saxophonist Tamir Nolley, flutist Andrea Myers, alto Kris Kautzman, and violist Ellie Fregni, will celebrate the 60th birthday of Twin Cities composer Justin E.A. Busch with a wide-ranging concert of his chamber music. The program includes the world premieres of three recent sonatas (Piano Sonata #2, a musical response to Beethoven’s Op. 26; the Flute Sonata; and the Sonata for Alto Saxophone), the Six Songs, Op. 92, and the rarely heard Suite #1 for Viola Pomposa.
