![]() Jazz at Studio Z presents the award winning group ATLANTIS QUARTET, featuring saxophonist Brandon Wozniak, guitarist Zacc Harris, bassist Chris Bates, and drummer Peter Hennig. The group recently released its 5th album to critical acclaim and returns to JASZ for what is sure to be an electrifying performance.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. with a MASTER CLASS ON DISCOVERING YOUR SOUND at 6 p.m. About Atlantis Quartet: Formed in 2006, Atlantis Quartet is at the forefront of the twin cities modern jazz scene, having toured the Midwest and East Coast while releasing five albums to critical acclaim. JazzTimes' Bill Milkowski calls the band "startlingly original" and both the City Pages and Star Tribune have named them Best Twin Cities Jazz Artist (2011, 2012). In 2015, the group was awarded the McKnight Fellowship for Performing Musicians. Featuring four of Minnesota's most exciting improvisors and composers, saxophonist Brandon Wozniak, guitarist Zacc Harris, bassist Chris Bates, and drummer Pete Hennig, Atlantis Quartet is a band whose music "defies labels" (MPR). Jazz at Studio Z Concert Series features a diverse lineup of Minnesota's greatest jazz musicians and is dedicated to providing the community with greater access to the music and the opportunity to learn directly from the musicians at the workshops each month. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Tickets can be securely purchased by credit card or through your PayPal account in advance, or by cash, check, or credit card at the door. Tickets purchased online will be held at the door.
