Rebecca Hass presents two works-in-progress for solo piano, including a Brazilian choro and an exploration on insistent motive. Pianist Rebecca Hass is a bit of a musical chameleon, who has somewhat diverted herself from her classical background into the exciting worlds of jazz and Brazilian music of many types. She works as a piano teacher, performer, accompanist, and arranger.
Stephanie Nevilles presents two songs for voice and piano from her 80's glam rock musical entitled Willow Storm and the Lightning Bolts. Stephanie Nevilles is a classically trained pianist and composer from Minneapolis, MN. She has performed with classical and theatrical ensembles, as well as with rock bands. She composed a original works for film, musical theater, and for solo piano.
Bess Boever presents piano works by composers Sam Tygiel and Mitch Grussing. Rumination No. 1 & 2 and Loon by Mitch Grussing and Time-less by Sam Tygiel were the focus of an artist residency granted by Springboard for the Arts in April 2016. Bess has rehearsed the music of two local composers who will be in attendance to briefly discuss their work.
The Štüphęń Experience presents Moon Splash and Mountain High, two electronic works created while on a journey in the Colorado mountains. These tracks are meant to immerse the listener in a sea of spacious sounds with a melodic beat. The Štüphęń Experience is a creator of experimental exlectronic music that takes your mind on an unending journey to wherever it may go.
