Tenor saxophonist Jason Squinobal will perform with vibraphonist Dave Hagedorn, bassist Chris Bates and drummer Cory Healey. The group will be playing modern renditions of jazz standards and original compositions.
The group’s original compositions are skillfully crafted, with unexpected forms that display Squinobal's prowess as a saxophonist and a composer. The quartet combines strong grooves with memorable melodies, drawing influence from jazz masters, and music from around the world to create a modern jazz sound. Jason Squinobal is the director of jazz ensembles at the University of Minnesota Morris. He has performed at jazz clubs and festivals throughout the United States.
