Pianist Richard Tostenson presents a solo concert with program including:

Richard Tostenson graduated with a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Indiana University School of Music. He is an active soloist with repertoire ranging from the Baroque to the 21st century. Richard has recently performed Messiaen’s Vingt regards sur l’enfant-Jesus and Liszt’s Sonata and Harmonies poetiques et religieuses at the Basilica of Saint Mary (Minneapolis); and Liszt’s Annees de Pelerinage at The Minneapolis Institute of Art. Richard has also collaborated with Grammy Award winning tenor, Aaron Sheehan. He has also had recent solo performances with Minneapolis Music Company, The Baroque Room, A Center for the Arts, Westonka Performing Arts Center and The Museum of Russian Art.  Richard has been called a “fabulous, virtuoso and poetic tour-de-force,” and having an “original and interesting musical voice.” Richard is also a recipient of the 2018 James E. Erickson Artist Grant.

Richard is on the piano faculty at MacPhail Center for Music (Minneapolis) where he is the MacPhail Keyboard Department Specialist, coordinator for the MacPhail Advanced Piano Camp, and participating faculty member of the MacPhail Young Artist for Piano Program. Richard has also been a visiting professor of piano at Gustavus Adolphus College.

Tickets can be securely purchased by credit card or through your PayPal account in advance, or by cash, check, or credit card at the door. Tickets purchased online will be held at the door. Tickets are also available at door.
