The First Readings Project was founded in 2012 by composer, conductor, and singer J. David Moore, growing from a deep love of choral singing and a desire to encourage innovation and experimentation in the repertoire. He envisioned a choir of professional singers that could act as collaborators and mentors for composers developing new work.
