Exploring new works with diverse audiences, especially when written by composers with connections to the Twin Cities, is important to the members of the Mill City String Quartet. They have recently performed pieces by Jocelyn Hagen, Kevin Puts, and Gene Gutchë, and are now excited to bring three of Patterson's pieces to Studio Z. The program includes the 7th quartet, a short, one-movement sketch, and the recently-commissioned String Quartet No. 8.
